During his distinguished career, Gary Skidmore has been an entrepreneur, public company senior executive and builder of companies in the business services, data, software and retail industries. He is a board member and advisor for many successful companies in diverse industries, including James Avery, Sendoso and Endeavors.

Gary founded Select Marketing in 1981, which was one of the first demand gen agencies to serve the tech industry. Harte Hanks (Nasdaq: HHS) acquired Select Marketing in 1994. Gary was a member of the senior executive team until his retirement in 2012. He was COO and President from 2007 – 2012.

Most recently Gary was Chairman and CEO of Aberdeen (Boston, London and Madrid). Aberdeen is a global data and content firm serving the tech industry. Aberdeen was acquired by J2 (NASDAQ: JCOM) in 2020.

Gary is an adjunct professor of business and a guest lecturer at several university business schools.
